We have numerous platforms which showcase our students’ accomplishments. These include our annual Engineering Project Show where students display the final product of the hard work in their final year Major Project, as well as various diploma-based project shows held throughout the year. Innovative projects involving research and development done in collaboration with our industry partners are also showcased in our Centres of Excellence in the School.
Collaborations with Industry Partners
Our 10 Centres of Excellence are the nerve centres of research & development (R&D) in the School. They work closely with the industry on R&D projects and answer calls for collaboration to further our expertise in specialised technological areas. These Centres help to enhance the professional and academic capability of our staff and students, ensuring that our School continues to remain at the cutting edge of technology.
With the most up-to-date facilities and equipment, the Centres also serve the needs of the industry, offering consultancy services, project development, training and knowledge sharing, as well as occasionally organising seminars, conventions or exhibitions for like-minded professionals.
In the School of Engineering, we strive to give you opportunities to explore the world, acquire a global perspective, expand your learning horizon, and learn about and understand worldwide industry trends and techniques in your respective fields of study. Through these experiences, we take learning out of the classroom into the exciting world around us. This is achieved through overseas study trips, overseas community projects, and the overseas internship programme. Students in the School of Engineering are encouraged and groomed to take part in prestigious national competitions, excelling with their award-winning projects. Their academic achievements are also recognised with medal awards during the graduation ceremony each year.
